Self-care is vital for a healthy lifestyle. By exercising, sleeping well, and eating nutritious food, we strengthen our bodies and maintain good health. Equally important is nurturing our mental and emotional health through practices like meditation, journaling, or enjoying hobbies.

Prioritizing self-care not only improves our physical health but also helps us manage stress, enhance our mood, and live a fulfilling life. By taking care of ourselves, we can thrive and maintain a balanced lifestyle.


Teaching fun and effective methods to cope with stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, and imbalanced systems through offering space to self-heal with experienced professionals.

  • In 2018 our founder, Amanda Gill, set out to empower others to better care for themselves by educating on and providing a wide range of holistic tools. Her goal was to cultivate experiences that would deepen ones' self-connection and remind students of how resilient, self-healing, and miraculous the human body is. Since then, our studio has grown, and we now operate across multiple locations in Ohio and West Virginia. At Empowered, you will find public and 1:1 private offerings that include various styles of yoga, breath work, therapeutic sound, Doula services, bodywork, and meditation. We also offer services in clinical herbalism, Ayurveda lifestyle counseling, and therapeutic body work.

  • Everything is connected. In our current world we are constantly meeting and responding to stimuli. Our nervous system responds based on the patterns we have formed throughout our lifetime. Our relationship with stress determines the way in which our nervous system will digest and adapt to the stimuli around us. Learning healthy coping skills & tools is imperative to our wellbeing. A deregulated body is one in dis-ease. It is proven that our biology can suffer from periods of time spent in states outside homeostasis. - (such as extended periods of time experiencing highly stressful stimuli [trauma] without taking time to regulate). If we do not have the proper tools to self-regulate it is shown that deficiencies and illness can manifest. Pain can become a messenger of internal imbalance. Empowered is a space that exists to help you notice, listen to, reestablish a relationship with, & support your mind/body/self-healing connection.

  • At Empowered, we understand there is no one-size-fits-all for wellness, and we are committed to meeting each student where they are in their journey. Our view of wellness is holistic as we consider how each individual's lifestyle can impact their health. Our focus is in providing methods for you to implement that address the root-cause while also helping you support symptom management. We work alongside holistic practitioners and medical health professionals to create complete wellness plans to meet your needs.

What does Holistic Health mean to us at Empowered?

We see Holistic Health as an opportunity to care for the human body as a part of our every-day lifestyle. Health and Wellness are a primal part of our nature. Our bodies are incredible. With the whole-body approach to movement and nutrition we may see ourselves thriving in that natural state.
Our approach recognizes the benefit of combining existing (standard) therapies from your medical professionals with complementary (preventative and integrative) therapeutic practices such as yoga, ayurvedic diets, and breathwork.
